Vernal Equinox Day(春分の日)Mar 21
we celebrates the arrival of spring in Japan.
It is the moment the moment when day and night are the same length.

This day is called "vernal equinox" in the traditional Japanese calendar, and is considered an important day that heralds the arrival of spring. In Japan, the vernal equinox is included in the festive period called Ohigan, and many people visit graves to worship their ancestors.
Other events are
Cherry blossom viewing: Around the time of the vernal equinox, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. For this reason, many people have the custom of enjoying hanami under the cherry blossoms. You can see them enjoying hanami with friends and family, bringing their own lunch boxes and drinks.

Spring festivals: Festivals celebrating spring are held around the vernal equinox in many places. For example, the Gion Festival in Kyoto and the Asakusa Sanja Festival in Tokyo are well known.

Onsen (hot spring) trips: The Vernal Equinox is an opportunity for Japanese people, who value being in harmony with nature, to go on an onsen (hot spring) trip. Spending time relaxing in a hot spring bath along with the fresh greenery of spring is a luxurious time to refresh both body and soul.

I haven't been able to get out there very often for the past three years, but I'm sure a lot of people will be out there this year!
