A student of my Tsumamizaiku class made hair ornament for her daughter
Now, it's December. Although the coming-of-age ceremony is in January, many people take a pre-shot, a full-scale commemorative photo before the ceremony.
By the way, this hair ornament is made by a technique called tsumamizaiku.
A student of my tsumamizaiku class made tsumamizaiku hair ornaments for her daughter's coming-of-age ceremony. This kimono is hers. Kimono is very durable, so I thought again how wonderful Japanese traditional culture is to be able to pass it on to the next generation in this way.
She said she did not do anything special for maintaining it. Wow!
