Japanese tradition-tsumamizaiku!

Tsumi-zaiku is a traditional craft that dates back to the Edo period. It is often seen as a hairpin for maiko (apprentice geisha).

By the way, I also teach Tsumazaiku online. Thankfully, I am blessed with many students who are improving their skills under my online lesson.

I received the following photo from one of my students.
She made a hair ornament for her daughter's coming-of-age ceremony using Tsumazaiku technique!

You can choose the color of the fabric to match the color of the kimono, and it will be a memorable piece of work for my daughter. Lovely! some are artificial flower but some are using tsumamizaku technique. It's very nice, isn't it? I was very happy too.

I am planning to start an English version of my online Tsumamizaiku course for beginners in the near future.
Please look forward to it!
